Blogger BJ Neblett's "Here For A Season"

Love is in the air.  The fast and furious dash for trinkets, flowers, candy and lingerie for Valentine's Day may be over for some but not for people like BJ Neblett.  He has created a playground filled with his original short stories and poems and woven them with billboard hit songs from the past and present. Sweet and passionate, the daily dedication to love, gives us a chance to take a walk down memory lane and think about the one that got away, contemplate about the love we're looking for or smile fondly about the true love that we were lucky enough to find.

Today, some of my work is being featured on BJ Neblett's blog today. You can find his "loving tribute to love" on his poetry blog:

Keep Fighting

Too much shit on a personal level.  Ick and blah and bleh and meh and dadgummit and God is in control and deep breath and sigh and <<<cracking my neck>>> and <<<cracking my knuckles>>>  In God I trust.

That moment when you deep breathe and continue to live strong even when you’re tired.  BREATHE for the LIFE of YOU.  #breathe #live #keepfighting

Prayers, the spice of Life

Prayers are more than just words whispered into your clasped hands or said with a bowed head. It is the direct link between you and God. It allows you to vent, to cry out the pain, to cry out in joy, to express your gratitude, to gain strength, wisdom, and peace; and to increase your patience, love and fortitude. It can re-direct your focus and it's a great way to start or end a meditative state.
Even if you don't believe - a prayer of hope & determination, when allowed to ignite from the heart, sends a message out to the universe that you are spiritually strong and capable to handle that which is on your life's path. Praying together forms a bond that allows you and your prayer partner(s) to unite in a passionate and compassionate circle of support.
Prayer joins everyone, it does not discriminate. Prayer is all inclusive; people from all walks of life and from mixed religious backgrounds can pray together. You can pray anywhere, at any time and with anyone. English Poet, William Cowper wrote: "...variety is the spice of life..." So too is prayer. It is the seasoning that enhances how you live.
So don't be reluctant to have a one on one prayer or a group prayer session with family, friends, or even strangers. Your religious distinction is irrelevant but your FAITH is necessary.
